Sihanoukville shopping

No one would describe Sihanoukville as a shopping city, but you can certainly find lots of useless tat on Serendipity Beach Road. There are a few other places worth visiting, though.

Sakura Recycle Shop Sihanoukville

The Sakura Recycle Shop is a great place to find second-hand homewares from Japan.

Sakura Recycle Shop finally has an outlet in Sihanoukville. Like the others around Cambodia, they sell second-hand items from Japan, including an impressive range of homewares. High quality plates, glasses, mugs, and more can be had very cheaply, so it’s a good place to go if you’re outfitting your apartment for the first time. They also have a large selection of second-hand clothing, accessories, children’s toys, and baby strollers, as well as a more dubious selection of cookware and appliances. (The cookware and appliances seem expensive and not in the greatest condition to our eyes, anyway.)

If you’re a fan of Korean beauty items, and let’s be honest, why wouldn’t you be?), Sihanoukville has its very own Beauty Republic, a mid-range beauty outlet from Korea that specializes in skin care, hair, cosmetics, moisture masks, and a range of products for men. There’s also a Face Shop inside Orange Supermarket has a nice selection of skin care and beauty products from Korea. It’s a small outlet, but they still carry a fairly wide selection of the Face Shop’s product range.

M'lop Tapang Sihanoukville

Support a good cause and shop at M’lop Tapang

Mlop Tapang is Sihanoukville’s premier child protection organization, and their Serendipity Beach Road storefront sells items made by the parents of former street children who would otherwise be begging. The profits go to help the families and toward other projects for vulnerable children in Sihanoukville. They sell cool handmade homewares, purses, bags, clothing, and more. They also have a shop at Sandan Restaurant.

Rogue might be known for having movies, TV shows, and MP3s available for download, but their Sihanoukville store also has a great selection of trendy beachwear and phone and iPod accessories.
