Lucky Supermarket has come to Battambang, for a little taste of back-home supermarket shopping.
Lucky Supermarket has finally come to Battambang and market-averse expats are rejoicing. Located next to Banan Hotel, the place isn’t as big as some of the Lucky Supermarkets across the country, but it still manages to pack in a wide selection of groceries, including fresh produce, meats, fruits, and dairy, plus pantry products and dry goods. They also have a range of toiletries and foreign goods. If you’re looking to get something like seedless grapes or L’Oreal hair coloring, this is your one-stop shop.
Looking for imported spreads? Head to Battambang’s “Western shop”
Conveniently opposite Psar Nath, Chea Neang Drink Shop is known around town as the “Western shop” and has the best selection of imported products in town. There you can find a wide range of Western products: natural yogurt, cheese, baking supplies, instant cake mix, and Nutella, as well as dry goods such as canned beans, lentils, muesli, cereal, and even tortillas and tahini. They’ve also got a large selection of French wines.
Heng Chhay Ly Mart sells mostly dry goods, including baking supplies and snacks, plus a large range of Korean and Japanese products and ingredients. They also carry fresh milk and yogurts, cheeses, canned and packed foods and drinks, as well as some frozen items. In addition to groceries, Heng Chhay Ly Mart has a has a large selection of wine, household tools, stationary, cosmetics, clothing, and housewares.
